Are You a Clinician
Willing to Help?
My Medicine Advisor is a small, independent health-information site. One thing it doesn’t yet have — and genuinely wants — is qualified medical professionals to review its content. If that’s you, this page explains how you could get involved, and what we can honestly offer in return.
“I’ll be straight: this is a one-person site, and the honest gap in it is medical review. If you’re a qualified clinician who’d be willing to check content in your area, I’d really value that — and I’ll credit you properly and accurately.”— Sameer Patel | Founder & Editor, My Medicine Advisor
First, an Honest Picture of What This Is
So you know exactly what you’d be getting involved with — no inflated claims.
A Solo Operation
The site is written and run by one person — its founder and editor, who is not a medical doctor. There’s no large team, no board, and no research department.
Evidence-Led & AI-Assisted
Content is researched from primary sources (WHO, CDC, NIH, peer-reviewed literature), drafted with AI assistance, and edited by a human. It’s general health education — not medical advice.
The Honest Gap
What it lacks is qualified clinical review. We’d rather close that gap properly — with real reviewers, named accurately — than pretend it’s already there.
How You Could Help
There’s no rigid programme here — it can be as light or as involved as suits you. A few ways clinicians could contribute:
Review content in your specialty
Read articles in your area and flag anything inaccurate, outdated, or misleading, so it can be corrected.
Sign off on what you’ve checked
Where you’ve genuinely reviewed a piece, we’d credit you as its reviewer — accurately, with your real name and credentials.
Suggest improvements
Point out where an explanation could be clearer, safer, or better reflect current guidance.
Contribute expertise
If you’d like to write or co-develop content in your field, that’s welcome too — with proper authorship.
What We Can Honestly Offer
We won’t overpromise. Here’s what’s genuinely on the table — and what isn’t.
✅ What we can offer
❌ What we won’t pretend
How It Would Work
Simple and informal — no abstracts, reference numbers, or committees.
Get in touch
Email us a little about yourself — your specialty, your qualifications, and how you’d like to help.
We verify credentials
We’ll confirm your professional registration. We only ever display credentials that are real and that you’ve agreed to — that’s the whole point.
We agree what you’ll review
Together we pick content in your area that you’re comfortable reviewing.
Your review is credited
Once you’ve reviewed a piece, your name and credentials are added to it as its reviewer — accurately reflecting what you actually checked.
Who We’re Hoping to Hear From
Mainly qualified, registered healthcare professionals — though we’re open to genuine expertise of various kinds.
Licensed Clinicians
Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals with current registration in their field.
Researchers & Academics
People with subject expertise in a relevant health or biomedical area who can speak to the evidence.
Anywhere
Location doesn’t matter — what matters is genuine, verifiable expertise and a willingness to help get things right.
